Ray and Sue Short have been farming since 1990. They started field trips to their farm in 1995. Sue has been a Master Gardener since 1999. The orchard is a project of the Tarrant County Extension, Texas Master Gardener Program. Ray and Sue enjoy farming and teaching others about farming. Sue went in to her grandson's classroom to talk about gardening and growing produce...including apples. The teacher asked if the class could come out on a field trip, and Sue and Ray have been having school field trips to their orchard ever since. |
