Henrietta Orchard

Field Trips

Sunflower

For more than 15 years Henrietta Creek Orchard has been an educational experience for preschool and school age children. The children come to the orchard and learn about, bees, pollination, honey extraction, apples, composting, earthworms, colored cotton, butterflies, insects, spiders, and herbs. The principles of agriculture, biology, history and botany are intertwined in the program. Master gardening and Junior Master gardening are also discussed. We have an observation bee hive for children to view the bees working.

We start booking field trips in July.

Cost is $6.00 per child & parent. Teachers and 1 chaparone per class are free.

Field trips last 1.5 hours. The first field trip starts at 9:30 and the second at 11:30.

WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCIDENTS OR INJURIES.

Our goal is to reach out to the community and teach them about gardening, bee keeping, composting and growing apples in Texas.
